Fish soup was clear and very tasty. Portion was just nice for a person, with a good amount of fish. Reasonably priced too. Do try their prawn roll, it was quite nice as well. Definitely worth coming back for.
Finally got the chance to eat this popular fish soup and zi char stall. Fish soup and handmade meatball soup @$4.50 each. Big pieces of batang fish are so fresh, soft and smooth. Handmade meatballs are actually mis-shapen minced meat. Very well-marinated sesame fragrant and tasty. Both soups comes with tofu, cabbage, tomato and generous pieces of bitter gourd. Found bits of hae bee (not something you get often in fish soups) at the bottom, makes the clear soup even tastier. Their homemade hae cho ($2) is also a popular side dish. Very soft and tasty fillings.
A great place for fresh fish soup and other dishes. Always enjoyed the meals here.
Healthier choice for both white bee hoon and white kway teow. They use fresh ingredients from the fish soup which they also own just next door. If you want something lighter, you might want to give this stall a try. I would skip the chilli next time as it does not really fit the dish.
Decent fish soup that sports a consistent stream of diners - opted for a double fish soup for just $5.50 to try out both their variants, and thought it was a good choice in general. the portion was generous for the price paid, while each slice of fish wasn’t thick, there was actually 3 of each variant which was pretty value for money! There’s also ginger and other toppings on the fish soup which makes for a flavourful dish Definitely one to return for in future.
